Dr. Byer joined
Ear, Nose, & Throat Physicians & Surgeons, P.A. in
February 1986. Dr. Byer is originally from Syracuse, New York,
and attended undergraduate school at Oberlin College. After
obtaining the M.D. degree from Baylor College of Medicine in
Houston, Texas in 1979, Dr. Byer completed a two year
residency in General Surgery at New Britain General Hospital
in Connecticut. He then trained for three years at Albany
Medical College and was Board Certified by the American Board
of Otolaryngology in 1985.
Dr. Byer is a fellow of the
American College of Surgeons, the American Academy of
Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Academy
of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is also a member of the American
Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and a
member of the New Hampshire State Medical Society and the
Hillsborough County Medical Society. Some of Dr. Byer's interests include facial plastic surgery,
including rhinoplasty, otoplasty, scar revisions and treatment
of facial skin cancer.
Dr. Byer also has expertise in
diagnosis and management of allergic disorders (hayfever, food
allergies, asthma, etc..) and specializes in endoscopic sinus
surgery, treatment of sleep apnea and snoring( including
somnoplasty) as well as the full gamut of ear, nose, and
throat disorders.
